How do I process an exchange or return?
Does Scarlett Chase ship internationally?
Yes! We utilize Shopify's Markets Pro which allow you to place an order with all customs, taxes, and shipping fees included. When you go to checkout and add in your shipping address, these fees will populate and the system will automatically charge you in your home currency. As such, you won't be surprised with any extra fees when your order is delivered.
See our returns/exchange policy on international orders here.
SHOES & FIT
How do I know my shoe size?
When ordering shoes (and particularly heels) women tend to "order up" to gain more room in the toe box. Scarlett Chase, despite its sleek look and pointed toe designs, has built in more room for your forefoot. Therefore, we encourage you to order your true size. And if you are between a 7 and a 7.5 for example, order the 7. You can certainly visit a local store and update your measurements before ordering, however most women find the shoes true to size. Keep in mind that the Scarlett Chase uppers are made with luscious, soft, Italian stretch suedes, and lined patents and crocs. As a result, particularly the suedes, will stretch to your foot after just a few wears.
For questions regarding fit please email us at vip@scarlettchase.com.
Scarlett Chase was designed with your entire foot in mind, honoring the width of the broadest part of your foot, and the fact that you shouldn't need to squish your toes together to achieve fit in other places. We encourage you to find your true shoe size before you purchase. This can be done through at a local Scarlett Chase event, or through any other standard shoe store. Then be sure to order your true size — not an exaggerated one! We've got you covered for a perfect fit.
This footbed feels different. Why is that?
We are so glad you asked! First, we hate leather footbeds. Leather and moisture do not play well together, resulting in a sticky footbed and a one way ticket to that hot, sweaty sensation after only a few minutes of wear. Yuck! To prevent this, we’ve created a first of its kind, patent-pending, orthotic grade, rebounding foam, cushioning footbed that incorporates custom microsuede and mesh top coverings to cradle your feet.
At Scarlett Chase, with the help of an industry leader in performance footwear insoles focused on sustainability, we have created the industry’s first custom, vertically integrated support insole for women’s luxury footwear. This technology, combined with a series of other industry firsts built into every pair of Scarlett Chase luxury footwear for women, permits the distribution of weight and pressure more evenly across a dozen contact points, leaving your feet feeling refreshed and rejuvenated even after hours of wear.
Don’t just take our word for it, get yourself a pair of your own Beautiful Power™ and join the revolution in women’s luxury footwear.
If you would like to purchase an additional SC footbed and purchased from us before, please contact us at vip@scarlettchase.com to request a replacement pair for $25.00.
What is this invisible platform on the bottom of my shoes?
Most shoe platforms are thin and hollow. You can knock, knock, knock and guess what? There is nothing there! No support, no lift, no shock attenuation of note, no grip or toe lift. Just a sole.
At Scarlett Chase, we are so much more than just a sole. Our hidden, patent-pending outsole provides you with lift, shock attenuation, steady-eddy balance and grip sufficient to keep you solid beyond what traditional heels provide. What's more, when combined with our SC360° internal support system, wearers are given a significant raise in the forefoot providing less pitch and a better angle for your foot from heel to toe, avoiding that awful ‘walking on eggshells’ feeling and permitting you to sit back into the shoe, instead of standing on your toes.
This is a unique heel shape. Why is that?
At Scarlett Chase, we're not big fans of big, bulky, blocky, chunky heels. We prefer an elegant, streamlined look. However, more than anything, we hate the sharp, stabbing pain in your heel that comes from razor thin stilettos. So, we combined the best of the traditional heel styles we love, with cutting-edge innovation that provides wearers the ability to walk on sidewalk grates and on cobblestone without fear. The heels on all of our styles, regardless of height, are truly made for walking. And that's just what you'll love to do in your SCs.
What style is best if I have a bunion?
The Seine and Brooke are the top picks for those with bunions, followed by the Scarlett and Soiree styles for pumps. The boots, booties and zip booties, mules and loafers all will stretch to fit and accommodate most feet.
Should I order my true size or size up/down?
Scarlett Chase seeks to provide a slightly wider toe box despite a variety of styles having a pointed toe design. The construction incorporates an extended ball of foot dimension to allow more forward placement of your foot before turning in towards the pointed toe. Keep in mind that if shoes are too big for the wearer, especially heeled shoes, the foot will slide forwards creating a pinch/tightness in the toe box. Keep in mind that suedes and nappa leathers will stretch more easily than croc leathers and patent leathers.
How does the Scarlett Chase Shim System Work?
Scarlett Chase provides two pairs of shims with all pump purchases. An explanatory card entitledBeautiful Power™ Tools Enclosedis also included to explain how to utilize these shims. The card is providedhere as a PDFfor your convenience. In addition, a 1-minute video demonstrating the application of the shims can be foundhere.
If you have misplaced your shims and have purchased pumps please contact us atvip@scarlettchase.comto request a replacement pair for $10.00 to cover shipping and handling.
What is a TR Outsole?
TR—thermoplastic rubber—is a unique material that is both lightweight, temperature resistant and durable, making it an ideal choice for cold-weather footwear. We chose TR for the outsole of our Aspen Shearling Boot with its core characteristics in mind: durability, lightweight, traction control, temperature resistance, and flexibility. Read more about our TR outsole at our Behind the Design blog linked here.
